A.N. Fox is Dead
Another pioneer has gone over the great divide and answered the summons sent by his maker, calling him to that place where sorrow and trouble are not known and where the adversities and struggles of the brief space of life on this earth are forever left behind, to the eternal rest.

For nearly forty years Mr. Fox lived in northern Wisconsin most of the time being spent in Eau Claire and Hayward. He died at his late home in this city Friday night, February 16, and if he would have lived until Sunday he would have reached the age of 56 years. The immediate cause of his death was enlargement of the liver, although he had not been well for over a year. Mr. Fox was a quiet, unassuming man who attended strictly to his own business. He had a wide circle of friends who will miss his kindly face and cheerful greeting and who extend their sympathy to the mourning relatives.

He leaves a wife, son and two daughters, Frank, Mrs. Browning, and Kittie; a brother Charles of this city; three sisters, Mrs. C. Fox of Chetek, Mrs. Wm. Smith of Eau Claire, and Mrs. NH Moshler of Minneapolis, to mourn his death. The funeral occurred from his late home Monday afternoon under the directions of the Knights of Pythias, of which he was a member, Rev. LW Winslow officiating. The Republican extends sympathy to the bereaved wife and children.
