David Colby was a soldier in the Revolution - at the Skirmish at Lexington, battle of Bunker Hill, and one of a scouting party driven from Concord, Mass. He came to this town, (Henniker), and purchased a portion of the farm now occupied by Eri Colby, of his father, Isaac, where he resided until his death.
August 16, 1777, David Colby participated in the Battle of Bennington, Vermont.
