Beulah H. Headley, 91, of Menomonie, died Thursday, April 11, 2002, in the Town of Dunn.
The former Beulah Harriet Wiltsey was born March 29, 1911, in Olmsted County, Minnesota, to Thomas and Sarah Wiltsey. She grew up and attended school in Chester, Minn., and graduated from Rochester High School in 1929. She was united in marriage to Roy Headley in 1929 and continued to live in Rochester until 1932, when her husband entered the ministry. To this union, one son, Gene Paul, was born in 1939.
Beulah accompanied her husband in his ministry in Minnesota and Wisconsin. She later continued her education and received a B.S. degree from UW-Stout and also did graduate work there. She followed a teaching career and was a teaching principal in the Brillion School System and later taught in the Boyceville School District.
In 1969, Beulah's husband retired and they moved to Boyceville, where he passed away in 1984, and her son, Gene Paul, in 1993. Beulah then moved to Tantara Apartments in Menomonie, where she lived until her death.
Beulah enjoyed activities at the Menomonie Area Senior Center, and was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Wisconsin Retired Teachers Association.
Beulah is survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her son, her parents and eight sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 16, 2002, at United Methodist Church in Menomonie, with Pastor Marilynn Rushton officiating. Burial will be in Tiffany Cemetery in Boyceville. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Olson Funeral Home, Menomonie, handled funeral arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial are suggested to United Methodist Church.
