Raymond R. Clotz, 77 of Amherst, died at home on May 17 after a short illness. Born in Lorain, he moved to Amherst in 1944. Mr. Clotz worked for the Lorain/Fairport Dock Co. for 32 years, retiring in 1977. he was a member of the Amherst Stonington Masonic Lodge, where he was a 32nd Degree Mason, and also belonged to the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite of the Valley of Cleveland. Survivors include two sons, Dennis of Amherst and Raymond R. of South Amherst; daughter, Marylin Clotz of Eugene, Ore.; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Rosemary, in 1980; brothers, George, John and Chuck, and sisters Mary Bishop and Marge Davis.
Services were May 20 in the Hempel Funeral Home, with the Rev. Gary Hazlett pf New Life Hospice, officiating. Burial was in Crownhill Cemetery.
