Harry H. Wolf

Amherst- Harry G. Wolf, 74, formerly of 458 Maple Ave., was pronounced dead on arrival in Amherst Hospital yesterday at 10 p.m. He had been ill for 10 years.

Mr. Wolf was born in Amherst Sept. 3, 1886 and lived in Amherst all of his life. The past few months he had been residing at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Carl McKay, 6240 Oberlin Rd., Amherst.

Mr. Wolf was employed as a general contractor many years before his retirement and had served as a deputy registrar of motor vehicles in Amherst for a year. He was a member of the Amherst Fire Department for many years and was a member of St. Peter United Church of Christ, Amherst Eagles and the American Legion Post 118.

Survivors besides the daughter are a son, Harry Charles Wolf, Amherst; five grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Emma Linder and Mrs. Joseph Taft, both of Elyria. His wife, Mary H. Wolf died March 12, 1960.

Friends will be received in the Garland Funeral Home after 7:30 p.m. today. Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home. The Rev. Guy J. Moyer will officiate. Burial will be in Crownhill Cemetery where the American Legion Post will conduct military rites at the grave.
