Vera R. Quigley, "Babe or Veronica," (nee: Papp), age 68, of Lorain, died on Thursday, December 15, 2005 at Community Health Partners HSC-West, following a short illness.

She was born January 13, 1937, in South Amherst and moved to Lorain 46 years ago.

Vera received her GED after being out of school for 20 years.

She was employed as a Home Health Aide for Lorain county, and then for Quality Health Care. She then worked for Radka Greenhouse and Schilens Greenhouse. After there, she went to work at Skateworld Skating Rink. She had also worked at Convenient Food Mart and at Lorain Products.

She enjoyed being an exhibitor with her flower arrangements and afghans at the Lorain County Fair, she also enjoyed crafting, crocheting, attending her grandchildren functions, roller-skating and being with her family.

She is survived by her sons, John, of Lorain, Timothy Sr. of Crawfordsville, IN, daughters, Sheri K. Short of Indianapolis, IN, Lorene M. Carver, of Lorain, Beverly M. Davis, of Palm Bay, FL., Veronica (Roni) R. Toth, of Elyria, 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandsons, brothers, Williams (Bill) Kovach, of Elyria and Frank Papp of Vermilion, sisters, Mary Beebe, of North Olmsted and Irene Malonowski, of Camby, Oregon, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Quigley, in 1973, parents; Frank and Anna (nee Boyza) Papp, and a nephew.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 18, 2005 from 2-6 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Kevin Saylor, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Crownhill Cemetery.
