Emma A. Kirschner, 84, of 510 N. Main St., Amherst, died yesterday afternoon at Shields Nursing Home in Lorain after an illness tow and one half years.

Born in Germany, she had lived in Amherst for the last 60 years, where she was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Her husband Bernhard died in 1966. Surviving are one son, Herman of Amherst; four daughters, Mrs. Charles (Helen) Nemec of Bay Village, Mrs. Hilda Fracchione of Westlake, Mrs. Milton (Eda) Freeland and Mrs. Ludolf (Evelyn) Kreeger, Jr., both of Amherst; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, a brother, Jacob Manke of Bristol, Conn.; and a sister, Mrs. Amanda Betke of Brooklyn, N.Y.

Friends may call at the Hempel Funeral Home in Amherst from 7 to 9 tonight and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Vilha Latvala, pastor at St. Pauls' Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Crownhill Cemetery, Amherst.
