Bernhard Kirschner

Amherst-Bernhard Kirschner, 77, of 510 North Main St., was pronounced durviviead yesterday at 4 a.m. in Amherst Hospital after suffering ill health for the past six months.

Mr. Kirschner was a native of Germany and had lived in Amherst 50 years. He was a former cable splicer at Lorain Works, United States Steel Corp., and at one time, for 10 years, had operated a blacksmith shop on North Lake St. he was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Surviving are his wife, Emma, to whom he was married 48 years; a son, Herman of Amherst; fur daughters, Mrs. Charles (Helen) Nemec, of Bay Village, Mrs. Hilda Frachione of Westlake; Mrs. Milton (Eda) Freeland, of Akron and Mrs. Ludolf (Evelyn) Kreeger Jr., of Amherst; nine grandchildren and a brother, Emil, of Cayuga, N.Y.

Friends will be received at the Emmerich-Hempel Funeral Home this evening, 7 to 9 p.m.

Service will be at 2 p.m tomorrow in the funeral home with the Rev. Philip Swigart officiating. Burial will be in Crownhill Cemetery.
