Amherst- Lois K. Boesel (nee: Zillyett), 81 years old age, and a resident of Amherst, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2011 at Kingston of Vermilion following a lengthy illness.
She was born May 6, 1930 in Amherst, Ohio. Lois graduated from South Amherst High School with the class of 1948 and has been a longtime resident of Amherst, Ohio.
Lois served as a housekeeper with the Albright Terraces in Amherst. She was a great wife, mom, and grandmother who loved caring for and spending time with her family. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Amherst.
Lois leaves to cherish her memory her sons and their wives William Jr., and Penny Boesel and Charles and Shannon Boesel, all of Amherst; her daughter and her husband Donna and William Ritzrow of Amherst; her grandchildren David Bechtel, Nicolas Gargasz, Timothy Boesel, Michelle Dusenberry, Zachary Boesel, Lauren Coker, and Matthew Corker; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-one years William W. Boesel on September 18, 1994; by her granddaughter Jennifer Gargasz in 2001; by her parents Fred and Freda Zillyett; by her brother Gilbert Zillyett; and her sister Esther Edwards.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 11, 2011 at Crownhill Cemetery in Amherst. The Rev. Terrance Adamson, pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church, will officiate.
