THOMAS L. DAWSON SUCCUMBS TO ATTACK
Rockville, Sept. 15 (AP) Thomas L. Dawson, Rockville native, who was Maryland Secretary of State in the Nice administration and the first Republican elected Montgomery county State’s Attorney, died last night in South Orange, N.J., after a heart attack. He would have been 52 today.
Dawson, who had been in defense work at South Orange, died on the way to a hospital. Survivors include the widow, a daughter, Mary Anne Dawson, and a son, Frazier Peter Dawson. Funeral plans have not been made.
Dawson was state’s attorney from 1920 to 1924. He was a World War veteran and a Mason.
