Survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Carl of Norman; daughter Terri and husband Pat Dean of Lakewood, Colorado; daughter Tammy and husband Donny Weatherford of Okla. City, Oklahoma; two granddaughters Crystal and Rachel; one great granddaughter Jasmine; sister Rosalie Krohmer of Noble; and sister Gail Vaughn of Norman. Verona was also the foster mother of Janet, Donny, Casey, Rikki, and Janie as well as an adoptive grandmother to many. She will be remembered for her creative Bible lessons, her love of children, and her beautiful smile. Services held at Central Church of Christ of Moore on Feb. 1, 20002.
