Ernie E. Carrico, 74, of Blue Springs, MO passed away January 10, 2013 at Centerpoint Medical Center. Ernie was born August 28, 1938 in Kansas City, KS to Oscar G. and Antonia F. (Viso) Carrico. On May 16, 1964 he was united in marriage to Phyllis Marie Jones, who survives of the home. Ernie served his country in the US Navy. He worked for AT&T, and was a member of St. John LaLande Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Josephine Pumphrey.
In addition to his wife, Phyllis, he is survived by his sons, Gregory E. Carrico and wife Brenda of Blue Springs, MO, Stephen M. Carrico and wife Jennifer of Blue Springs, MO; daughters, Martha N. Carrico of Blue Springs, MO, Valerie E. Blake and husband, Barcilio of North Kansas City, MO, and Brenda M. Carrico and Sharique Shaikh of Overland Park, KS; sister, Delores J. Tyler of Wichita, KS; 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5–7:00 pm, Monday, January 14, 2013 at Meyers Funeral Chapel, 1600 W. Main Street, Blue Springs, MO, 816-229-3276 with Rosary at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at St. John LaLande Catholic Church, 801 NW R.D. Mize Road, Blue Springs, MO celebrated by Father Ron Elliott.
