Willie H. Brewer, age 89, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 11, 2013. Willie was born on August 6, 1923 in Hale Center, TX to Lessie Lela and William Henry Brewer. Willie married Anna Nita James on December 8, 1942, they were married for 68 loving years. Willie was preceded in death by his wife, Nita, his sister, Lona Mae Mathis, brother, Cletus Raymond Brewer, daughter, Nancy James and great-grandson, Logan Brewer. Willie is survived by his son, Gary Brewer and his wife, Sandra, son-in-law, Art James, sister, Nan Troup and her husband, Frank, sister-in-law, Mae Brewer, grandson, Bryan Brewer and his wife, Jennifer and their children, Brandon, Amy, Stephen, Shannon and Kyle, grandson, Jeff James and his wife, Beth and their daughter, Katie, grandson, David Brewer and his son, Landon, grandson, Sean James and his wife, Ariana and their son, Connor, and grandson, Will Brewer. Willie was a loving and caring son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Willie was a proud veteran of World War II serving in the European theater. Willie worked hard for many years in the meat industry. Willie loved getting together with his family to eat, fish and play cards. Willie will be missed by all who knew him and remembered as a well respected gentleman. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 14, 2013 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at French – Wyoming. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. also at French – Wyoming. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
