David J. Alverson
SPARTANBURG - David J. Alverson, 60, of 132 Clemson St., a retired plumber at Alverson Plumbing Co., died Monday.
A native of Spartanburg County, a son of the late David J. and Maude Foster Alverson, he was a member of First Baptist Church and a veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mildred Hines Alverson; two sons, David R. Alverson of Clemson and James W. Alverson of Spartanburg; two sisters Mrs. V. S. Morgan of Decatur, Ga. and Mrs. Sorrells Atkins of New Prospect.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
The body is at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel and will be placed in the chapel at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
