Alvin R. Marston, age 83 of Ferndale, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2005. He was born on December 9, 1921, in Mangus, Minnesota, to Francis A. and Nellie M. (Moe) Marston. Alvin married his wife, Rosemary (Broten) on June 18, 1991.
Alvin was an outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt. He enjoyed traveling in his motor home and spending time with his family. Alvin's favorite times though, were those he spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Alvin was a board member at the Living Hope Fellowship Church and was a faithful supporter of missionaries around the world.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Burnell Marston; sister, Carol Wingo; and his wife of 35 years, Hulda Haugo Marston. Alvin is survived by his wife, Rosemary; brother, Duane Marston; sisters, Maxine Bell and Muriel Harper; son, Mylan Fink; daughter, Lynette Murray; stepson, Jim (Bonnie) Haugo, stepdaughter, Carolyn (Ron) Vekved, stepsons, Herb (Lilly Ann) Haugo, Peter (Karen) Haugo, Bill (Vivian) Broten, David (Sally) Tupper, and Wayne (Angie) Tupper; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday, August 19, 2005, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the Ferndale|Moles Funeral Home Chapel. A Graveside Service will follow at 1:00 PM at Enterprise Cemetery and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
