Audrey Grant Peters, 94, of Watseka, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Iroquois Resident Home, Watseka, IL. She was born April 9, 1923 in Morocco, Indiana, the daughter of Grover and Ruby (McComb) Potts. She graduated from Morocco High School. Audrey married Leslie Grant on May 8, 1942 at Kentland, Indiana. They were married 70 years and farmed in the Donovan area for 67 years. He preceded her in death on December 30, 2012. Audrey was a member of the Donovan United Methodist Church Mrs. Grant Peters is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, David and Gloria Grant of Donovan; two granddaughters, Jennifer Haberkorn (Jerry) of Highlands Ranch, CO and Melissa Allen (Stan) of Sherman, IL; four great grandchildren, Kenzie and Teagan Haberkorn and Avery and Grant Allen; and several nieces and nephews. She is also preceded in death by one son, Milo Grant; second husband, Richard Peters; parents; two brothers; and one sister. Visitation will be at 10 a.m, followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 12, at the Donovan United Methodist Church. Pastor Kevin Nourie will officiate. Burial will follow at the Beaver Cemetery in Donovan, IL. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Iroquois Memorial Hospice or Donovan United Methodist Church.
