He was born in Marion, Indiana to the late Charles and Esther Scott. He was a World War II Navy veteran, serving in the invasion of Normandy on LST 197, and participated in four other campaigns in Europe. For 16 years, he worked for Anaconda in Riverside, Calif., and retired from Roy's Car Dealership in Elkhorn, Wis.
Survivors include wife, Alice (McCoy) Scott, Marion; daughters, Susan (Jack) Reed, Delavan, Wis., and Shelley (Kevin) Moen, Las Vegas; a brother, Joe Scott, Woodland, Calif.; grandchildren, Kim (Jeff) Holub, Brenda (Larry) Reader, Scott (Jenny) Brand, Radawn (Chris) Ryden, and Aaron (Michelle) Lara; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, including Tom and Becky Graves, Marshal Pool, Paula and Dave Sheppard, and Daryl (Linda) Briner.
