Alice Smitha, 70, passed away on Friday, the 11th day of January, 2013, at her residence in Shelbyville. Born in Rineyville in Hardin County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Winnie Webster and Thelma Lee Graham Miller. She was a member of the Rhema Christian Assembly and a longtime employee of Ralph's Market, where she was well remembered for assisting in the preparation and production of that Market's famous and signature "Ralphburger." In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Bobby Miller and Harold Miller, and her sister, Rosemary Clark.

Survivors include her husband, Obie Smitha of Shelbyville; her sons, Mark Payton, and his wife, Michelle, of Salt Lake City, Utah, Glenn Payton and his wife, Pam, of El Paso, Illinois, Barry Payton and his wife, Pam, of Bagdad, and Mark W. Smitha of Mount Eden; her daughter, Mary Paris and her husband, Pete, of Florida; her brothers, Kenny David Miller, Winnie Miller, Jr., and Danny Miller, all of Rineyville; her sisters, Cathy Henderson of White Mills, and Sue Killion, Kay Clarkson, and Judy Emerson, all of Rineyville; and her thirteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Monday, the 14th day of January, 2013, at the Hall-Taylor Funeral Home of Shelbyville with the Reverend Terry Yeager officiating. Interment will follow in the Grove Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M., until 8:00 P.M., Sunday, at Hall-Taylor, and expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hosparus.
