When Paul was a teenager he joined the CCC's and was stationed in the Smoky Mountains for several years. He went on to join the United States Air Force and served in World War II. Paul retired from Y-12 after 35 years of service. In his later years, he enjoyed fishing and going out to eat with family and friends.

The family will receive friends at the Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City on Sunday, January 13, 2013 from 3-4PM with a memorial service to follow at 4:00PM with the Rev. Bill Dean officiating.
