Thad Hill was my grandpa, He was the son of Robert Littlebury and Amanda J. Gilleland Hill. He had a twin sister,Mary Alice Hill Hales.she is buried at Henagar Alabama. Thad was married to Margarett Jane Croy daughter of William Joshua and Aggie Melinda Ashworth Croy They had 11 children in all.one daughter only lived a short while.A set of twins died at birth, One day while working in the field It came a thunder cloud and grandpa thought it was not going to rain enough to hurt so he continued to work the field and a bolt of lightening came down and struck him. Another man that was helping was right beside my grandpa and was knocked down by the lightening but was not hurt.Grandpa was killed. He was 44 years old.
