Brandon R. Petty (Buzz) age 46, passed away on January 4th, 2013, in St. George Utah. He was born on July 11th, 1966 to Nate and Maye Dean Rosenberg Petty in Cedar City, Utah. He married his sweetheart Tonya Tom on July 28, 2007 in Cedar City, Utah.

Buzz was a lot of things to a lot of people. No matter where he was at or what kind of activity it was. He had the knack of drawing a crowd. To say he loved hunting and the outdoors would be saying we love oxygen to breathe. He was born, bred and red dirt fed in the shadow of the red hill of Cedar, A.K.A. "Dog Town."

Brandon is survived by his wife Tonya, as well as by his children Breanna (Houston) Christensen ( Richfield, Utah), Brennon (Courtney) Petty (Parowan, Utah), Brandi (Andrew) Retana (Cedar City, Utah), Shaniah Petty (Cedar City, Utah), Marty (Aubrie) Sims (Cedar City, Utah), Taniah (Patrick) Henrie (Cedar City, Utah), Tiarrah Sims (Cedar City, Utah), Dakota Sims (Cedar City, Utah); as well as seven grandchildren; mother (Cedar City, Utah) and in-laws Gary and Bernie Tom (Cedar City, Utah); brother Ryan (Laurie) Petty (Cedar City, Utah) and sister Natalie (Darren) Brown (Bountiful, Utah). He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, January 8th, 2013, at 1:00 pm in the Cedar City Stake Center (100 East 400 South). Friends may call Monday, January 7th, 2013, from 6:00-8:00 pm, at Southern Utah Mortuary and Tuesday, from 11:30-12:30 pm, at the Cedar City Stake Center. Interment will be in the Cedar City Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
