WAGENER — Mr. Johnnie Hallman Nunn, 73 years of age, entered into rest Friday, May 13th, 2005. Mr. Nunn was born in Wagener, the son of the late John D. and Estelle Mundy Nunn, and was also predeceased by sisters, Lorene N. Garvin and Gerry N. Quattlebaum, and great-grandson, David Smith. He was the husband of Bobbie Derrick Nunn for 53 years. Mr. Nunn was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War and a member of the V.F.W. Post #6304 and Masonic Cedar Lodge #184. He retired after 35 years service with the South Carolina Highway Department.
Mr. Nunn is survived by his wife, son, Johnny "Buddy" E. (Scarlett) Nunn and daughter, Deborah N. Ryals all of Wagener, grandchildren, Anthony L. (Vangee) Nunn, Austin S. Nunn, Allie L. Nunn, Diane (Glenn) Lewis, all of Wagener and Linda (Paul) Smith of Aiken and great-grandchildren, Brenna Nunn and Jordyn Lewis and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 15th, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Wagener Chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home, 163 Main St. South, Wagener, S.C. (803) 564-5333. A graveside service will be held Monday, May 16th, at 4 p.m. from the Perry Cemetery. An online register is available at www.blizzardfuneralhome.com.
