She was preceded in death by her husband in 1987. In 1990 she moved from her home in Orem to The Seville Retirement Center. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in various callings in the Primary and Relief Society organizations of the church, and was known as a faithful visiting teacher for many years. She enjoyed her membership in the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and her service with the Pink Ladies organization at Utah Valley Regional Hospital. She had a love for beautiful flowers, and her garden was always a delight for all to see. Her skills in quilting and crocheting are well-known and have been lovingly shared with her family and friends .
She is survived by her daughter, Leatrice Nielsen of Antioch, CA; and her son, Morris H. Nelson, Provo; 13 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren and one sister, Ellen Lipp of Fairfield, CA. She was preceded in death by two sons, Durward L. Nelson and Max E. Nelson. Funeral services will be held on Thurs., January 22, 11 a.m. at the Sundberg Olpin Mortuary Chapel, 495 So. State, Orem, Utah. Friends may call Wed., 7-9 p.m. at the mortuary, or one hour prior to service. Burial at Orem City Cemetery.
