Ruth Ann Allison Carlton, 66, of Steele, died Monday, September 24, 2012 in Steele.

Born August 12, 1946 in Hermondale, Mo., she is the daughter of the late Arra Allison and Dora Taylor Allison.

She was also preceded in death by four brothers: Tony Allison, Charles Allison, Lester Allison, and Chuck Allison; and five sisters: Etta Gray, Tilda Wiseman, Dora Hays, Mildred Southard and Mary Lou Scott.

Ruth was a graduate of Braggadocio High School class of 1964. On October 22, 1966, she was united in marriage to Ronnie Carlton.

She was an employee for Wal-Mart for 12 years and a member of fthe First Baptist Church in Steele.

Mrs. Carlton leaves her husband, Ronnie Carlton, of the home; two daughters: Michelle Albrecht and Keith of O'Fallon, Ill., and Ronda Neal and Dale of Steele; two granddaughters: Ashley Cervantes and Allison Albrecht;
three grandsons: Carlton Neal, Aaron Albrecht and Traelyn Neal; one great-granddaughter, Morgan Buehler; one sister, Glenda Winters, of Steele; and two brothers: Jesse Allison of Steele and Kenneth Allison of Fenton, Mo.
Graveside services for Mrs. Carlton were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, September 26 at the Mt. Zion Cemetery with Rev. Michael Funderburk officiating.

Pallbearers were John Hudson, Bubba Allison, Kerry Allison, Scott Hillhouse, Keith Albrecht and Aaron Albrecht.
