Catherine Willis Beach was born in Michigan on December 25, 1893, the daughter of Amos and Bertha Rowert Willis. She married Wilfred Adney Beach in Forester, Sanilac, Michigan, on February 2, 1911. The family lived for a number of years on Helen Street in Rochester.
