Whiteville- Mrs. Kathleen Suggs Fowler, 94 of the Old Dock Community died Thursday, January 9, 2013 at her home.
Mrs. Fowler was the daughter of the late Willie Suggs and Issie Sasser Suggs; she also was preceded in death by her husband, Talmadge Fowler and two sons, Howard and J.M. Fowler; two brothers, Carl and Fred Suggs and two sisters, Edith Suggs Hayes and Virginia Simmons Hughes.
Mrs. Fowler was a retired cafeteria worker and a long time member of Palmyra Baptist Church in Old Dock.
Mrs. Fowler is survived by a daughter in law, Phyllis Fowler of Whiteville, NC; one granddaughter, Tammy Fowler of Whiteville, NC; one grandson, Chris Fowler and wife Rowna of Sunset Beach, NC; one sister, Magalene Marlowe of Whiteville, NC; two great grandchildren, Donnie and Danielle Locklear of Sunset Beach, NC.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 10, 2013 at McKenzie Mortuary from 6-8:00 PM. The funeral service will be Friday, January 11, 2013 at Palmyra Baptist Church at 2:00 PM with Rev. John Roberson officiating with burial in the church cemetery.
