Mrs. Jim Rourick, Longtime Local Resident, Passes
Mrs. Bridget Rourick, 84, a resident of the Atlantic community since 1884, died at 5 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the home of her son Albert Rourick, twelve miles northeast of Atlantic, where she had been making her home the last five years. She had been in failing health for several years.

Mrs. Rourick was born July 15, 1861, at Dixon, IA., and was married to James Rourick in September, 1884. They farmed northeast of Atlantic until retiring and moving to Atlantic in 1917. She was a member of the Atlantic Catholic Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Curtis Clark of Brayton and Mrs. Roy Thompson of Alameda, California; two sons, Albert and James Rourick of Atlantic; 18 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Three daughters, Mrs. Margaret Antrim, Mrs. Julia Griffin and Miss Alice Rourick
and a son, William, together with the husband, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 9:30 at S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, the Rev. P. N. Mc Dermott officiating, assisted by the Rev. M. J. O'Connor of Wiota. The Rosary will be recited tonight and Wednesday evening at 9 o'clock at the Roland, Peacock and Baxtar funeral home, where the remains will be until the service hour. Interment will be in the Atlantic Catholic Cemetery.
