Martha Wood, 85, of El Dorado, passed away Thursday, April 1, 2021 at her residence. She was born May 3, 1935 to Jimmie L. and Annie Lavonia Wilson Warren in Union County, AR.
She was a member of Mt. Union Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Martha enjoyed crafts, golfing, and traveling with her husband, Stanley, but her passion was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Stanley Wood; brother, Buster Warren; and sister, Faye Williams.
Survivors include her daughter, Mitzi Sanchez (Dickie) of Denham Springs, LA; two sons, Rick Wood (Michele) of Ashville, AL, Ronnie Wood (Sherri) of El Dorado; and grandchildren, Mandi Karisny (Mike), Richard Sanchez (Tabitha), Drew Wood (Rachel), Todd Wood (Amanda), Trey Wood, Michael Wood (Mary), Natalie Wood, Caleb Wood (Ashlynn), Sarah Norman (Landin) and Jacob Wood; sister, Joyce Mayo of Baton Rouge, LA; and 11 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Mt. Union Baptist Church with Rev. John Ayers and Rev. Paul Sheets officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. until service time. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
Serving as pallbearers are Trey Wood, Drew Wood, Todd Wood, Richard Sanchez, Jacob Wood, Michael Wood, and Caleb Wood.
