Mrs. P.D. Barber, a prominent Amherst woman, died suddenly last Friday morning, as the result of an accident sustained last week. Death was the result of a blood clot, due to the compound fracture of her right arm. The fracture was healing nicely and Mrs. Barber was feeling quite well until last Thursday evening. Her death was a distinct shock to her family and a wide circle of friends. She was active in church and fraternal work and will be greatly missed. The deceased was 59 years of age. She is survived by husband and five children, Miss Lillian Barber, of Lakewood; W.H. Barber of Lorain; Mrs. Walter Notley, Sandusky; and Charles and Nelson Barber, of this place. The funeral services were held from the family home on Sunday afternoon. Rev. J. Smith officiating. Services at the grave were conducted by the local chapter of the Eastern Star.
