Jesse Vowell was a very busy man who worked up to the day he died. He retied as a chief petty officer in the US Navy. He served in World War 2, and Korea. He also worked as an aviation instructor for the US Navy after he retired. He was active with a group called Aniyunweya Nation of Indigenous Native Indians of Tennessee. Later, he and his wife, Helen volunteered for the American Red Cross. Through this, he helped the Navy Pharmacy by handing out refill medications and talking with patients for the last 19 years of his life. He and his wife were active members of at their local church. Jesse's work ethic made a valuable impact on all who had the privalidge to work with him. The patients, co-workers his wife and family live and miss him dearly. Helen will be buried along side him upon her death. They shared the same birthday, four years apart, September 20th!
