He was born in Marvin, Virginia and was the son of the late Elihu and Vergie Honaker Arms. Curtis worked as a coal miner for 42 years. He retired as a section foreman with Pittston Coal Company. He lived all his life in the Raven, Virginia area. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He will be missed by all who knew him and loved him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Ricky Arms; one grandson, Anthony Kane Arms; and four brothers, Junior Arms, Tivis Arms, Darris Arms and Dallas Arms.

Funeral services for Curtis Arms will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 11, 2013 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev. Danny Altizer officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be: Gary Arms, Tony Arms, Craig Arms, Jeremy Arms, Kevin Arms and Steven Arms. A visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm at Hurst-Scott Funeral Home; 1401 Second Street; Richlands, Virginia.
