Funeral of Mrs. Elizabeth Kirby, widow of the late John Kirby, who died at her home on Standish street, here yesterday, will be buried Saturday in St. Michael's cemetery. A solemn mass of requiem will be celebrated at 9 o'clock in St. Michael's church by Rev. J. S. Cuddy. Mrs. Kirby was in her 70th year when she died, having been born in Kircudbright, Scotland, March 14, 1842. Her death, which resulted from infirmities attendant upon old age, occurred at 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon while several of her children were at her bedside. Mrs. Kirby had been a resident of this county since 1856. She was widely known and highly regarded.
