Barbara Ann Chaney, age 67, passed away at her home on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 5:05 p.m. She was born July 30, 1945 in Atkinson County, GA to the late Clayton and Minnie Spivey Taft.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Chaney, Sr. They married on August 14, 1965. She is also survived by one son, Jerry (Samantha) Chaney, Jr. of Pearson, GA and children Caleb, Carrie and Courtney, and one daughter, Melette (Aaron) Pobst and son, Avery, of Sikeston, MO, one sister, Linda Davis, two sisters-in-law, Opal and Karen Taft, and one brother-in-law, John Arnold, all of GA, many nieces and nephews, and special friend, Linda Potter.

She is preceded in death by three brothers, Troy, Edward and Donald Taft, one sister, Jean Arnold, one sister-in law, Shirley Taft, and one nephew, Eddie Taft.

The family will celebrate Mrs. Chaney's home-going on Wednesday, Jan. 9, at 2:00 p.m. at Smith Avenue Church of God with the Revs. Jerry Chaney, Sr., Jerry Chaney, Jr. and Ira Lee Sandefer officiating.

Burial will follow in the Forest Hills Cemetery in Morley, MO.
