Services were held Friday at Corley Funeral Home for Sam Skinner, 85, resident of Corsicana, who died Wednesday in Twilight Home. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park.
He was a native of Burnville, Miss., came to Texas in 1891, was a ginner in Purdon until his retirement in 1937, a veteran of World War I serving in France, and had lived in Corsicana 40 years.
Survivors include his widow of Corsicana; a daughter, Mrs. Joe Morris of Booth Bay, Maine; a son, Lt. Col. Dan Skinner US Air Force, Thailand; four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
