Genara was preceded in death by her husband, Moises Jaramillo, her father, Antonio Maestas, mother, Francisquita Martínez, son, Gilbert Jaramillo, grandson, Henry Jaramillo Jr., brother, Ivan Maestas and sister, Neomi Dimas.
Genara is survived by her sons, Robert and his wife, Victoria, Henry and Bernadette, Floyd and his wife, Viola, Dean and Pat and María, daughters, Gina and Ronnie, Elaine and her husband, Isidro Jr., brothers, Alfonso "Joe" Maestas and Tony Maestas and his wife, Rachel, sisters, Ernestina Benavidez, Mary Jane Sánchez, Eremita Chávez and Rose and her husband, Pres Martínez, sister-in-law, Nora Madrid and her husband, Ben, seventeen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, as well as many other family members and friends who loved and will miss her.
At Genara's request, cremation has taken place. Services will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church 301 S. Camino del Pueblo, Bernalillo, NM. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 11, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Bernalillo Cemetery where Genera will be interred with her late husband, Moises.
