Sgt. Bradley John Bergeron, 25, a native and resident of Houma, died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2005.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Religious service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in St. Elie Cemetery.

He is survived by his fiancee', Amber Stilley of Baton Rouge; his parents, Earl John Bergeron and Angela Mary Bergeron Bergeron of Houma; one brother, Scott Ryan Bergeron of Houma; his paternal grandparents, Earl Joseph Bergeron and Betty Pellegrin Bergeron of Houma; his maternal grandmother, Rita Trahan Bergeron of Houma; six aunts, Becky B. Domangue of Houma, Liz B. Musso of Lafayette, Jeannie B. LeCompte of Houma, Mary B. Marcel of Bayou Black, Susan B. Martin of Chauvin and Lisa Bergeron of Houma; two uncles, George Bergeron Jr. and Keith Bergeron, both of Houma; and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, George Bergeron Sr.

He graduated from South Terrebonne in 1997, loved music and his car. He was a sports enthusiast who loved watching football, wrestling, working out with weights and jogging. He enjoyed listening to various styles of music and was a family-oriented person who loved getting together with family members and friends. Wherever he worked or visited he made anyone he met feel they were an extension of his family. He was looking forward to returning to school to further himself in his job at Bowen's Heating, Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Inc., marrying his fiancee' and starting a family when he returned from Iraq at the end of this year. He was in his ninth year with the Louisiana National Guard Co C 2/156 Inf. (M) in Houma.

Awarded for service to his country, Bradley was posthumously awarded the Bronze Star Medal, the Purple Heart Medal, the Army Good Conduct Medal and the Combat Infantry Badge.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Family Readiness Group of Charlie Company, 1000 Williams Ave., Houma, LA 70364.
