MISHAWAKA - Elizabeth M. Clawson, 69, of 1528 Berkley Circle, died at 4 a.m.
Friday at Memorial Hospital, South Bend. Miss Clawson retired in 1988 from 1st
Source Bank. She was born July 28, 1924, in Elkhart, and was a lifelong area
resident. Surviving are a sister, Harriett M. Bennett of Mishawaka; a brother,
Edward D. Clawson of Mishawaka; a niece, Jill Lindley of Mishawaka; and four
nephews, Frank Harley of Jenison, Mich., Michael Harley of Tampa, Fla., Robert
Clawson of Holiday, Fla., and Steven Clawson of Millington, Tenn.

She was past president of the St. Joseph County chapter of American Cancer
Society; honorary member of Mishawaka Lions Club, past president of Mishawaka
Business and Professional Women's Club, past vice president of Mishawaka
Downtown Association, past president and board member of Mu Delta Sorority Alpha
Gamma Chapter, life member of Bieger Heritage Corp., and a 1943 Mishawaka High
School graduate.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 435 S.
Ironwood Drive. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends
may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may
be made to Mishawaka Lions Club or to the oncology department of Memorial
Hospital.
