Billie Jack Armstrong, 85 years old was born to Hazen Kimbrough and Sue Armstrong on January 1, 1928 in Bolivar, Texas.

He went home to see his Lord and Savior on January 8, 2013.

He served in the Navy in World War II. On August 24, 1947 in Sanger, Texas, he married the love of his life, Mary Nel Haynie.He served as an active deacon and Sunday School Teacher for over 50 years at the First Baptist Church, Sanger, Texas.He also served as past president of The Milking Shorthorn Cattle Association. He was the former owner of the Christian book stores, The Love Shop, in Denton, Texas.He served on the Board of Trustees for the Sanger Independent School District, and was past member and President of the Sanger Lions Club.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Nel Armstrong of Sanger; son, Rusty Armstrong of Little Rock, Arkansas; daughter, Suejo Armstrong of Corinth; son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Tammy Armstrong of Forestburgl; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and step-mother, Viola Armstrong; sister, Mary Emma Armstrong and daughter, Robbie Ann Armstrong.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at the Bolivar Cemetery.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Greg Johnson officiating the services.
