Mary E. Pennington, 80, of 205 Lancaster Street, Stanford, died November 19 at the Fort Logan Hospital.
A native of Pulaski County, she was born January 13, 1912 to the late William Gover and Ollie Mills Gover. She was a homemaker and a member of Cedar Ridge Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Palis Pennington of Stanford; three sons, Robert Pennington of Harrodsburg, Lindsey and William Pennington, both of Stanford; three daughters, Margrette Cooper, Stanford, Alberta Caldwell of Cincinnati, OH, and Ida Barbour of Benecia, CA; two sisters, Louida Gray of Lexington and Virginia Kidd of Wilber Force, OH; 17 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 25 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Henry Ewing officiating. Burial was in Pennington Cemetery in Stanford. Fox Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
