Scott R Carpenter, 42, of Anderson, went to be with the Lord after a courageous battle against ALS on January 4th, at his residence. He was born on March 18, 1970 in Anderson, and resided most of his life in Anderson.

Scott graduated from Madison Heights High School, and earned his associates degree from Lincoln Technical Institute. He was a supervisor for ELSA Corporation.

Scott was a U.S.M.C. Veteran serving during Desert Storm, and he was chosen to serve in the Marine Corps security force.

Scott was a board member and little league baseball coach with Brooklyn Little League for many years. He loved spending time with his family, sporting events, and attending Lapel Basketball, and little league games. He played several years with the Faith Assembly of God Softball and Basketball teams, and enjoyed working on cars,
and playing practical jokes.

Scott is survived by his loving spouse whom he married April 13, 1996, Brandi (Nevin) Carpenter, son, Triston S. Carpenter, son, Bryce R. Carpenter, and son, Matthew D. Carpenter all of Anderson. Parents, Richard and Judy (Robinson) Carpenter of Anderson, brother, Michael (Jasmine) Carpenter of Anderson, sister, Michelle Diane Carpenter of Anderson. mother in-law, Deborah Nevin of Anderson, brother in-law Shawn (Nikki) Nevin of Anderson, sister in-law Ashley Nevin of Anderson. Grandparents Lyle W. Carpenter, Opal M Robinson. Several special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Betty (Schell) Carpenter, and William C. Robinson, father in-law, C. David Nevin.

Visitation will be held Monday, January 7th from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd St.

Services will be Tuesday, January 8, at 11:30 am with Pastor Scott Tischler officiating.

Burial will take place at Grovelawn cemetery in Pendleton.

Military Rites will be performed at the graveside by the VFW Post #266 and the Marine Corps.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Lapel High School Athletic Fund, and the Lapel Little League.
