Grace Andrea Trimble was the first daughter, and fourth child, of Edward Trimble and Heneryette Margratia Brainard. The family was living on a farm in rural Andrew County, just outside of Jefferson City, Missouri in 1896 which is where Grace was born. Grace grew up on the farm where she was born as the 1910 and 1920 census both show her living on the farm with her parents and her siblings.
Grace had an older brother, Bert, an older brother, Allen Kirk, a brother Edward Floyd who died at two years old, a younger brother, Theodore Roosevelt, and a younger brother, Carl Brainard. She had two more younger siblings, a sister, Dora Theresa who they called, Polly, and a younger brother, George Raymond whom everyone called Buster.
Grace went to school thru her first year in college. Attending a one room school house during her elementary and high school years. Grace became a teacher and while teaching in Helena, Missouri, she met Earl Conrad Borchers who was the principal of the school.
On July 24, 1918, Grace and Earl Conrad Borchers would marry. Five children would come from their union. Grace was the mother of Earl Clay Borchers (1919-1978), Wilma Juanita Craig (1921-1985), Roen Virginia Borchers (1928-1958), Bryce Trimble Borchers (1930-1934) and Blaine Gilbert Borchers (1935-1995). All of her children with the exception of Blaine are buried at Mount Auburn.
The 1920 census shows Grace and Earl living at 265 Willis Avenue in Savannah, Missouri in Nodaway Township and Andrew county. Their household consists of the two of them and their new born son, Gerald who would later be renamed, Earl Clay. Sometime in the 1920's Grace and Earl moved to 2318 West Circle Drive in St. Joseph, Missouri as the 1930 census shows them living there. Grace would continue to live there into her 80's.
Grace loved to cook and loved family gatherings. She would have large family gatherings at her home on Easter, and Thanksgiving. She would organize a large family picnic on the Fourth of July every year. Grace also loved to sew and made clothes for her children and her grandchildren. She had a huge sewing closet in her bedroom full of fabric, threads and everything needed to make outfits for her loved ones.

Grace died from congestive heart failure, due to hypertension and coronary artery disease according to her death certificate. Grace was laid to rest at Mount Auburn Cemetery in St. Joseph, Missouri on October 24, 1992. Grace is buried in the family plot with her husband, Earl, her son, Bryce, her daughter, Roen, and her son, Clay. Sadly, she buried all of her children except, Blaine.
