KLEVER RITES HELD FRIDAY IN EXIRA

Exira-funeral services for Louis Klever, 81, prominent Exira retired farmer were held Friday afternoon at the Federated Church in Exira with the Rev. S. E. Wright of Des Moines officiating. He was assisted by the Rev. W. W. Russell. Mr. Klever died Wednesday, January 1 at the Manning General hospital where he had been a patient for several weeks. Born near Marengo, in Iowa County, February 1, 1876, he came to Audubon County with his parents in 1885 and grew to manhood in the community. He was married to Ada Watterson December 6, 1900 and they lived on a farm northeast of Exira until her death on February 27, 1948. Mr. Klever had since made his home in Exira with his brother, Fred Klever. Survivors are a son, Lloyd Klever of Exira; a daughter, Mrs. Carolyn Henry of Zepher Hills, Fla.; a brother, Fred Klever of Exira, three grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Exira Federated church. Music for the services was by Mrs. Chas. Powers and vocalists were Mr. and Mrs. Ronald St. John. They sang two selections, ``Beautiful Isle of Somewhere´´ and ``In the Garden.´´ Casket bearers were Millroy Bills, Jack Vande Brake, Theodore Nelson, Virgil Williams, J. [Rest of article is missing]
