Mr. Armstrong was formerly vice-president of manufacturing with Crouse-Hinds Co. and had worked for the firm for 40 years.
He was a descendant of David Collin who settled near Fayetteville in 1816.
He was born in Fayetteville and attend Virginia Military Institute and the cavalry school at Fort Riley, Kan. He was a founder of the Cavalry
Club of Manlius and president of the Troop D Auxiliary Co. and Troop D Veterans Inc. an
association he cherished.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Elizabeth Armstrong, two sons, Hamilton Armstrong Jr. and David Armstrong, both of Fayetteville, a stepson, James T. Wooster of Waite Hill, Ohio,
a step daughter, Mrs. A. Wooster Harney of Cheshire, Conn., and three grandsons, Hamilton Armstrong III, Merwin Armstrong II and Steven Armstrong.
