Mrs. Mary C. HANSON, 78, of 124 Aldren Avenue, died at 9:20 p.m. Monday, December 31, 1973 in Jamestown General Hospital. She was the wife of Hilmer C. Hanson.
A native of Jamestown, Mrs. Hanson was born August 1, 1895, the daughter of Christian P. and Margaret Jespersen Jensen. A member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, she was active in the Lutheran Church Women and the Forty-Plus Group of the church. Other memberships include the Auxiliary of the Earl A. Morley Barracks, Veterans of World War I and the American Association of Retired Persons. Mr. and Mrs. Hanson, who were married May 25, 1918, observed their 55th wedding anniversary in 1973. Surviving besides her husband are two daughters, Lois Hanson McCullough of Frewsburg, and Phyllis Hanson Wood of Keystone Heights, FL, four grandchildren, Mrs. Susan Post, Warren, PA, David McCullough, Frewsburg, Mrs. Kathryn Neubauer and Mrs. Linda Allen both of Jamestown, four great-grandchildren and a brother, Carl J. Jensen, Jamestown. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm Friday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Wilton E. Bergstrand, pastor of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church,will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
