Josephine Brown, 84, Rt. 5, died Wednesday, Aug. 31 [1983] at her home. She was the daughter of the late Richard and Liza Cooksie Lee. Survivors include her husband, Luther Brown; sons, Willie Lee Brown, Columbia, James Brown, Campbellsville, Elmer Brown, Russell Springs, Ernest Brown, Frank Brown, Tommy Brown, and Allen Brown, all of Campbellsville; daughters, Margaret Andrew, Russell Springs, Dora Perkins, Greensburg, Ruby Wright, Campbellsville; brothers, Oakley Lee, Manntown, Sam Lee, Columbia, Robert Lee, Clinton County, Otha Lee, Campbellsville; sisters, Ada Guffey, Campbellsville and Dora Polson, Jamestown; 45 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Funeral was at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 2 at the Lyon Funeral Home. Burial was in the Flats Cemetery at Creelsboro. Officiating were the Rev. Walter Lay and the Rev. David Brown.
