"Seese, Alvin Ray, 84, of Bridgeport, Ohio, passed Friday January 4, 2013 at home.
He was born in Bridgeport on May 2, 1928, a son of the late William Christopher and Laura Mary Frye Seese.
He was a retired Electrical Engineer from Ohio Power Company; a member of the Bridgeport Masonic Lodge #181, a US Marine Veteran; and a member of the Kirkwood Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Martha Jane Rodgers and a grandson Michael Allen Seese.
Alvin is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Mary Miller Seese; sons: Dr. Dennis R. Seese of Belleview, Fla., David A. (Leslie) Seese of Lafayette, LA., Thomas A. (Lisa) Seese of Baton Rouge, LA., a daughter Nancy A. Dunfee of Bellaire; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation and services were private at the convenience of the family at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, Ohio.
Interment was held at Belmont Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
