James (Jim) A. McCarter, age 69 of Sevierville, passed away Monday, January 07, 2013.
He was born May 1, 1943 to the late Clyde and Nellie McCarter.

Jim is survived by his sister, Dian Robertson and husband Hal; nieces, Cindy Ball and husband David, Joann Shrader Watts and husband Tommy; and Cathy Robertson; several great-nephews and a great-niece; two great-great-nieces.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 871 North Weisgarber, Knoxville, TN 37909.

Family and friends will meet 1 PM Wednesday at Caton's Chapel Cemetery for graveside service and interment. Rev. Sammy Justus will officiate. Arrangements by Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville. (www.atchleyfuneralhome.com)
