MOORESVILLE — George E. Hunt, 76, of Mooresville, died Sunday at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis.
He was born April 3, 1932 in Indianapolis to Virgil A. and Helen G. (Conner) Hunt.
Mr. Hunt graduated from Monrovia High School in 1950. He was a foreman for more than thirty years for the Allison Division of General Motors.
Mr. Hunt was preceded in death by his life partner, Doris Garl; brother, Don Hunt; great grandson, Ethan Wayne Hunt.
Survivors include four daughters, Debra (J.L.) Benge, Pamela (Craig) Jone and Diana (Sam) Hill, all of Mooresville and Teresa (David) Gardner of Martinsville; one son, David (Cindy) Hunt of Martinsville; one sister, Pat Pollard (Elmer) of Monrovia, 13 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel in Mooresville. Burial will be at White Lick Cemetery.
Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
