HELSEL - Frank Henry, 78, 223 Luther Road, died at 4:23 p.m. April 21, 1971, at his residence. Born Aug. 7, 1892, in Johnstown, a son of Bracken Ayers and Katie Mabel (Slick) Helsel. Preceded in death by parents; first wife, former Agnes Rhoades; son, Aubrey, and brother, Claude. Survived by widow, former Verle Carmany, and these children: Frank, married to former Garnet Edmiston, 208 Mayluth Road; Durward, married to former Florence Hoover, Pasadena, Calif.; David E., married to former Hazel Cobaugh, 1615 Tampa Ave.; Jack, at home; Cameron B., Altadena, Calif.; Virginia, wife of Kenneth Caltabach, 226 Dowling Road; Dorothy, wife of Raymond Cassidy, 400 Luther Road; Mildred, wife of Arthur Summers, Plank Road, Somerset; Marian, wife of Wade Bash, Tacoma, Wash.; and Lois, wife of Homer Strayer, Newark, Del.; also 36 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren. Brother of Walter D., 900 Lemon St.; Dwight R., 806 Park Ave.; Harry Milton, 309 Norwood Gradens; and Noah Sanford, 263 Capital Ave. Former assistant general manager of Johnstown Wholesale Grocery Co. Life member of Dale Volunteer Fire Company. Friends received from 7to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at R. Owen Ketterer Funeral Home, Geistown, where service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, the Rev. Peter Bury. Interment, Grandview Cemetery.
