She was preceded in death by her parents, Newton Asbury and Emma (Brubaker) Deaton; and her husband Noah Edwin "Ted" Geeting, in 2002. Alice was a native of Preble County, Ohio. She was a retired nurse from the Bedford County Medical Center in Tn. and a member of Cannon United Methodist Church.
Survived by two sons: Allen Geeting of Shelbyville, Tn., and Byron "Barney" Geeting of Anniston, Al.; a brother, Robert Deaton of Columbus; 6 grandchildren; and 14 g-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Monday, March 29, at Hillcrest Funeral Home, Shelbyville, Tn., with the Rev. Mark Ashley officiating.
